Occasionally, we get asked what is necessary to have on the road and we have learned lately that it is unbreakable and leakproof items such as mugs and tumblers. We’ve learned that being on the move, means things tend to fall over and a cup full of liquid all over your RV carpet isn’t fun, so being able to prevent spills and breaking glasses, :::cough cough Tiffany breaks glasses constantly cough cough:::, is a mandatory thing in an RV.
So, I’ll admit I had never heard of Tervis Tumblers before I moved to Florida over ten years ago. A friend bought me one since they had several of them and determined I needed one of my own. I still have it. They are simple tumblers, but have a double wall so it is insulated for hot or cold.
They have a huge selection including tumblers, mugs, stainless steel and even sippy cups in a variety of sizes like 16oz and even shot glasses! We use the ones we have for all kinds of drinks, I’ve drank soda and coffee in the same tumbler without issue.
A few years ago, I was given a Green Bay Packers tumbler with matching lid. I’ve never had an issue with it and I’ve beat it up pretty well. It gets tossed around, has been through the dishwasher and hand-washed many times and never leaked, cracked, or grown cloudy.
Tervis is a Florida company, which I guess is why so many people in Florida have them. Their main draw though is the lifetime guarantee. If there is ever a manufacturing defect, and I mean ever, they will replace it. I read the instructions to return one before posting this, and all you have to do is mail it to them and they’ll send you a coupon to get a new one. Its that simple and any company who stands behind their product like this is a win in our book. They won’t replace it if it breaks from misuse though, so don’t take a hammer to it or anything like that.
That’s all I’ve got. They are having a sale tomorrow (February 14th), so check it and order; link below!
Oh and they are customizable, which is perfect for a gift! We love ours!
